Swatch and Review: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Bitten, Burlesque, Grandstand, Starry Eyed, In the Spotlight,

I've heard a lot of great things about Makeup Geek eyeshadows so I decided to buy some colors that I was interested in. I got two in their regular finish and three foiled eyeshadows. At $6 and $10 a piece, these are reasonably priced and are great quality.

Makeup Geek eyeshadows are sold as singles and can be put into a Z palette. They are also the same size as MAC shadows.

Clockwise from top: Bitten, Starry Eyed, Grandstand, Burlesque, In the Spotlight in indoor lighting.

In natural lighting.

Bitten in natural lighting. Matte maroon red. I'm obsessed with this color.

Burlesque in natural lighting. Burlesque is almost identical to Bitten, except it is shimmery.

Grandstand in natural lighting. Grandstand is a rosy gold color with a hint of copper in some lights.

Starry Eyed in natural lighting. Pale pink champagne.

In the Spotlight in natural lighting. Light gold beige.

Swatches in natural lighting: Bitten, Burlesque, Grandstand, Starry Eyed, In the Spotlight.

These eyeshadows are super pigmented and only needed one swipe each. Bitten and Burlesque are actually a deep burgundy in person.

In indoor lighting.

When I first swatched the foiled eyeshadows, I swear the angels sang. MAC's frosted eyeshadows has nothing on Makeup Geek's foiled eyeshadows. These eyeshadows are incredibly shimmery and my arm is going to be glittery for days after these swatches. I'd apply this very lightly in the center of the lid using a flat synthetic brush. Use less than you think you'd need because this stuff is pigmented. The only downside is that the foiled eyeshadows can be difficult to blend. Once this stuff is on your lid, there's no turning back, so you have to very precise with it.

In any case, for the price and the quality, Makeup Geek eyeshadows are definitely worth the investment.
